PO hotmelt adhesives are mostly white products with great thermostability, in fact, these are just Polyolefin hot melts, also known as Polyolefin hotmelt adhesives.
PO hot melts can be very thermostable and provide good, strong bonds to plastic packaging materials.
Polyolefin hot melts, also known as PO hotmelt, are mostly thermostable (non coaling, non charring, non fuming) versions of cheaper, and mostly used, EVA hot melt adhesives for e.g. food packaging purposes. Mostly the polyolefin hot melt adhesives can be recognized by their white colour and waterclear, fully transparant fluid in the hot pot (hot melt tank). Furthermore, polyolefin formulated hot melt adhesives are known for their improved adhesion to plastic materials, and coated or lacquered cartons.
