psa hot melts
PSA hot melts are Pressure-sensitive adhesive (also known as: PSA, self-adhesive, self-stick adhesive, hot glue, HMA) it is often used as a coating to make foils and other surfaces sticky. Very known applications are self adhesive tapes and self adhesive labels. Hot melts are fluid at approximately 160 degrees Celcisu, and cooled to room temperature to go in their final "plastic" or "solid"form. . Hot melt is a thermplastic adhesive, it simply melts when it becomes hot, it's mostly based on polymers, tackifier resins, an chemical oils. On of these plastics could be Styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS),
used in high-strength PSA applications the rubber gives also high flexibility to the adhesive and cohesive strength. Hot melt adhesives retains the adhesive power, or stickyness, even when the adhesive is "dry" (solvent / water free). Hot melts are often used because the high performance of the adhesive (above waterbased acrylics) and solvent free, environment friendly formulation. Intercol is easily able to adapt our hot melt to you specific requirements, based on product qualification or bringing more output in you production process for e.g. tapes or labels. Intercol's Hot-melt adhesives provide optimal hold and superior manufacturing flexibility unlike waterborne (acrylic) or solvent-based adhesives and are widely used in a variety of self adhesive applications, including securtiy sealings, reclosable packagings, etcetera. Several tests could be subject t our adhesive, e.g. Quick Stick, rolling ball tack, loop tack, shear and peel adhesion.
