hot melt adhesive coating
Intercol has several clear pressure sensitive adhesives, which we can advise on request. using PS, PSA hot melts as adhesive technology would allow the bonding of two flat or foil parts of a device. Surfaces (Substrates) to be bond could be PET or Aluminum, plastic, printed, wood, glass, etc. We have projects where
PET or Aluminum based surface could be rough and/or porous and could lead to no-adhesion in some areas. That's why the amount, thickness of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer could be important.
it's possible to offer clear hot melt or pressure sensitive adhesive. With the right application equipment a homogeneous adhesion between the two surfaces are good and to realize. If necessary surface treatment such as plasma or corona could be part of the assembly process. The adhesive material can be used with a liner to facilitate the deposition. To improve the deposition, assembly, bonding or adhesive process, autoclave or vacuum press can also be used.
Other solutions might be to use one of our customer Tapes that can be based on both pressure sensitive and heat activated (heat seal) adhesive tapes at e.g. 5-100um thick and lower.
Specific Project Requirements
•Thickness: max 30 micron adhesive coating (preferably max 10 micron)
•Transparency: optically clear, low artifacts (non-scattering), very high homogeneity
•Light transmission: low absorption in the visible range of the spectrum
•Temperature application range: from -40 to 130 ⁰C
•Not tacky at room temperature (for easy positioning hot melts)
