Terpolimery octanu winylu/etylenu/chlorku winylu (VAEVC)

Vinyl acetate/ethylene/vinylchloride (VAEVC) terpolymers are often used in the form of dispersions for the production of abrasion-resistant interior paints, exterior wall paints, resin-bound plasters and cement additives.

Aplikacje

Vinyl acetate/ethylene (VAE) and vinyl acetate/vinyl versatate copolymers with a predominance of Vinyl acetate are employed as dispersions e.g. for the production of adhesive films for textiles, such as nonwovens

Ethylene/Vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymers with a large proportion of ethylene can be used as PE dispersion binders. VAE in powder form can help to make stronger & more flexible PLA based shrink film and other films.

Acetate/ethylene/vinyl chloride terpolymers have a wide range of applications due to their unique combination of properties. Examples are:

  • Adhesives and Sealants: These terpolymers are often used in adhesives for paper, packaging, and wood, as well as in sealants for construction and automotive applications.
  • Coatings: VAEVC terpolymers can be used in industrial coatings due to their excellent adhesion, flexibility, flame retardancy and chemical resistance.
  • Textiles: These terpolymers can be used in textile coatings to provide water resistanc, flame resistance and durability
  • Automotive: In the automotive industry, they are used for interior trim and door paneling.
  • Construction: They are used in various construction materials, including flexible flooring and caulks1.
  • Packaging: These terpolymers are used in food packaging and film lamination due to their good barrier properties.
  • VAEVC’s versatility makes them suitable for many other specialized applications as well, including cosmetics and biomaterials.

Intercol can make coatings and adhesives, for dedicated industrial appliations with the right parameters to optimize production processes like assembly and coating lines. Please contact us for our standard products or a taylor made dispersion.
