Polyvinyl acetate (PVA, PVAc) is also know as white wood glue, white glue or PVA glue is a synthetic polymer. It’s one of the basic raw materials used in modern synthetic waterbased adhesives. PVAc glues can be formulated to meet specific application requirements.

Polyvinyl acetate applications

PVAc emulsions are used as adhesive or binder for porous materials, most known applications are with wood, paper, textile and non-woven applications.

PVAc dispersions are used in these industries:

• For wood gluing, White PVAc glue. It has different water resistant classes D1, D2, D3 and D4
• Paper adhesive, producing paper, paper conversion, or carton products and closing packaging
• For bookbinding purposes
• All kinds of manual applications, handicrafts
• Producing envelopes
• Applying and producing wallpaper
